Hi,
We are off to a new school year and I am excited about some upcoming events we are planning. First is Back-to-School Night. One of the things I want to do this year is to have you share our classroom through our blog. We are going to be writing and reading and doing many fun projects. This site will help you find out what's going on and you can write to your student or to me. Enjoy some of the websites I have linked here and some of the books we are going to be reading.

Our Clothes Tell a Story
Hi,
Have you ever had a favorite pair of pants or a dress your mom couldn't give away because you wore it when you were little? Then you have a story to tell!
I have had students bring in a piece of material from an old pair of something and tell long involved stories about where they were, what they were doing, and why its their favorite thing ever. To add the piece of cloth or a picture of the item or them wearing makes the story that much better.
I have actually had students bring in material and make quilts from some of their precious items. They have many many fun stories to recall about these things.
Adding a blog where students could write and edit and hear comments from classmates and friends and parents would be interesting! Maybe the parents would have more rememberings to add.
